Based at our factory in Wigan, Wire Mesh Fabrications are looking for a Full Time Machine operative.

The role will primarily involve operating automatic and manual mesh welding machines, and will require manual handling.

Experience preferred but not essential as on job training will be provided.

FLT licence would be an advantage.

Job Description

Sales Lead Generation

Producing estimates and quoting customers
Manage targeted prospecting activity
Exploring new potential markets

Quoting / Estimating

Prepare estimates and submit quotations to customers
Consultative sales process – advising on products to best suit the customers application where necessary
Following up quotes in a timely fashion

Customer Management

Maintaining regular contact with existing and prospective customers, using Telephone, Web, LinkedIn networking, and our internal CRM.

Key Requirements

A good grasp of maths, basic geometry and the ability to create and manage spreadsheets is preferable.

Knowledge and experience of steel/metalworking/fabrication industry would be advantageous but is not essential.

Working with a varied customer base from and including structural engineers, steel fabricators, sales and purchasing personnel and occasionally the general public, means excellent communication skills are required.
